Class Rules & Expectations
1. Be responsible….Be respectful…..Be courteous….Be prepared….Be positive.
2. NO food or drink is permitted in class. The Only exception is clear plastic water bottles.
3. Do not touch anything in this classroom until instructed to do so by a teacher. This includes other students and their belongings.
4. Cell phones and/or all-digital devices are not permitted in class. If they are seen they will be sent to the office.
5. Be on time & prepared for class every day. Being prepared includes bringing a 3-ring binder, Loose leaf paper, 5 dividers, pencil, pen, and your covered textbook to class every day unless otherwise stated.
6. Stay on task. If you do not understand something, ask the teacher for help.
7. Follow ALL LAB SAFETY GUIDELINES. Students who choose NOT to follow laboratory directions and/or safety guidelines will not be permitted to participate in lab.
8. RAISE YOUR HAND TO SPEAK IN CLASS. Please remain silent and attentive while the teacher or other student is speaking.
9. A student should try not to miss class. If you miss a class for any reason, please refer to the class Web Page.”Time will NOT be taken out of class time to explain make-up work. It is the student’s responsibility to see me outside of class to make-up any and all missing assignments. An excused absence DOES NOT excuse a student from previously announced tests, quizzes etc. on the day the student returns to class.
10. Copying or helping another person on a free response test will result in a ZERO (0) on the test for ALL involved. An assignment, such as homework assignments, journal readings or formal lab reports, copied from another student, the Internet, or any other source will result in a ZERO (0) on that assignment for ALL involved. .
11. Reading requirements for the course are rigorous and require a daily commitment in order to stay caught up in the class. It is expected that you should review the day’s notes and information EVERY night. Homework is due at the beginning of class the following day unless otherwise stated. Homework left in a locker or not turned in at collection time is considered late and will not be counted for full credit.
12. All grades that you earn should reflect your contribution to a positive learning environment. Tardiness, lack of participation, having one’s head down, not having materials, excessive complaining, a negative attitude, and disrespect to students and teacher negatively impact the learning environment and will result in a reduction of points.
13. Work submitted must be legible and completed according to the teacher’s directions. Work not completed according to the teacher’s directions will NOT be accepted. The assignment will be accepted the next day and will be considered to be late. Ask questions, at the appropriate time, if you do not understand the directions.

a. by end of day 5% off.
b. 10% off for each late day for the first week
c. more than a week,100% of points but still due
d. failure to submit any assignments will result in I ( incomplete)
